Ready to rumble

The other day we finally got the headlights, park lights and grill installed on the 1936 GMC Rat Rod Tow truck project!

This truck is really coming alone nicely, we used 1933 Plymouth headlight mounts with 1934 Buick headlights, 1933 Pontiac park lights and the grill is a super rare 1936 Maple Leaf (GM built Canadian only truck) I found in a barn 3500 miles from here! (best $20 I've spent in a while!)

For those of you who don't know what a rat rod is, it is a rougher looking hot rod made with parts that have "patina" and sometimes rust and dents, it's a rebel type of hot rod to go against the super shiny $100 000 show rods that never get driven, these on the other hand get driven a lot, and very hard too!

A rat is a car or truck you can enjoy, no need to worry about scratches or dents, no worries about mud or weather, they are normally wild looking and tough and reliable, and in recent years the popularity of these types of rods has gone through the roof.
